ARTICLE PROCESSING WORKFLOW

1. Manuscript Submission:

The author submits the manuscript through the journal's manuscript management system.

2. Secretariat Review:

The submitted manuscript will undergo a meticulous review by the secretariat within a period of two weeks.

2.1. Evaluation Criteria:

Does the manuscript conform to the journal's formatting rules (font, reference style, etc.)?

2.2. Decision:

  • If Non-Compliant: The manuscript is returned to the author with a request for necessary revisions.
  • If Compliant: The manuscript is forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors.

3. Editorial Review:

Manuscripts approved by the secretariat are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors within a period of two weeks.

3.1. Evaluation Criteria:

3.1.1. Editor-in-Chief/Associate Editor Assessment:

Is the manuscript scientifically appropriate and within the scope of the journal?

If necessary, the manuscript is forwarded to a Subject Editor.

3.1.2. Subject Editor Assessment:

Does the manuscript contribute to the current scientific literature in the field?

A technical and content review is conducted.

3.2. Decision:

  • If Non-Compliant: A rejection decision or a request for substantial revisions is communicated to the author.
  • If Compliant: The manuscript is sent to peer reviewers using a double-blind review process.

4. Peer Review Process (Double-Blind):

Reviewers must decide whether to review the manuscript and must inform the editors within two weeks. If a reviewer fails to respond on time or declines the review, a new reviewer is assigned by the editors.

4.1. Reviewer Assignment:

Two experts in the field are appointed as reviewers.

5. Reviewer Reports:

Reviewers must complete their evaluations within one month and recommend one of the following decisions regarding the manuscript:

  • Accept for Publication
  • Revisions Required (Accept with minor revisions: Revisions are reviewed by the editors)
  • Resubmit for Review (Major revisions: It will be reviewed for the second round)
  • Reject (It is not recommended for publishing)
  • Submit Elsewhere (It is not the scope of the journal: Reject)

(If one reviewer recommends rejection while the other recommends acceptance or revisions, a third reviewer is assigned to evaluate the manuscript).

6. Revision Review:

Authors must submit revisions based on reviewers' comments within two weeks.

The author should revise the manuscript and resubmits it.

The Editors and/or reviewers should re-evaluate the revised manuscript within three weeks.

  • If Non-Compliant: A rejection decision or a request for a second revision is communicated to the author.
  • If Compliant: The manuscript undergoes a final evaluation by the editorial board.

7. Final Decision:

The Editor-in-Chief decides whether to accept or reject the manuscript based on the subject editor's decision, reviewer reports, and revisions.

8. Pre-Publication Stage:

8.1. Language Editing and Formatting: This process should be completed within two weeks.

The manuscript should be sent to a language editor.

8.2. Author(s) Approval: This process is completed within one week.

The author reviews and approves the final version of the manuscript.

9. Publication:

The manuscript is assigned to an appropriate issue, and the publication date is determined.

The manuscript is published online on the journal's website.
